Program Description

March Skill & Performance Camp

March 16–19 | Richcraft Sensplex- Potvin pad

U10-U16 (A-AAA)

This four-day camp is designed for athletes looking to sharpen their skating and skill in a  high-tempo, detail-driven environment while also being introduced to  high-level off-ice preparation.

Camp Schedule & Structure

Total training volume: 7.5 hours of on-ice training, 1 hour of off-ice training

Monday (March 16):
On ice: 2:00–4:00pm

Tuesday (March 17):
Off ice with Capital Strength @ Capital Strength’s gym ( 10-11am) . On ice: 2:00–4:00pm

Wednesday (March 18):
On ice: 2:00–4:00pm

Thursday (March 19):
On ice: 2:30–4:00pm

On-Ice Training

On-ice sessions focus on  skating mechanics, skill development, and game-relevant reps with an emphasis on pace, precision, and feedback. Small groups ensure athletes get maximum touches and individualized coaching.

Off-Ice Training (Tuesday Only 10-11am @ Capital Strength )

Capital Strength Address: 2190 Thurston Drive, Ottawa, ON

We’ve partnered with  Capital Strength an off-ice training specialist with a proven hockey development program.

The Tuesday off-ice session will be held at Capital Strength’s top end facility (2190 Thurston Drive) from 10-11am. The session will focus on  movement quality, performance preparation, and injury prevention  helping athletes understand how to better prepare their bodies to perform and recover.

Capital Strength Coaching Team:

  • Nick Haince: Coach Nick is the Founder and Owner of Capital Strength. He oversees all Sport    Performance Programs with 16 years of Hockey performance development.
  • Donald Shaw:Coach Donny is a Lead Strength Coach for the Navan Jr. A Grads and former Gee-Gees football running back.
  • Matt Kelly:Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Biomechanics, specializing in hip and groin injuries and skating biomechanics.

*This is the same team I personally worked with while returning from a broken leg and continue to trust to keep me feeling strong and fresh on the ice.

Program Summary

  • 4-day camp (March 16–19)
